Louis Guarnaccia
paints from the shoreline of Massachusett's Nantucket Island,
its scenic harbor, and the island's hidden Creeks, as well as
regularly chartered trips off-shore in a chase boat to capture
the majestic racing yachts competing in such events as the Opera
House Cup, Figawi, and the Nantucket Bucket Regatta. His paintings
also include the touching images of stranded dinghys and decaying
sailing boats moored or beached in the island surf, as well as
the beauty of the historic whaling vessels of the 18th and 19th
centuries that typically sailed in and out of Nantucket Harbor.
